DADDY BESTEST

THE REASON DAUGHTERS NEED A DAD IS TO SHOW
HER THAT NOT ALL MEN END UP HURTING HER

DADDY BESTEST

Pages of time flip on, the book of adore intact n' ageless
In all men I seek your image for anything else is always less
Your patience, grit and kindness; sheen to your manliness
No need for muscles or Dabbang style to become my tiger, in real sense

My birth didn’t lessen your love for Mom
Being a girl I wasn’t disowned, strangled or called a thorn
Instead you treasured me -Rocking me in your caring hands,
You whispered Kismis, Kashmiri Budhi, n’ such meaningless sweets.

You worked hard to provide the best
Felt guilty on returning home late
Distressed that your sleeping child forgets you
coz you leave home early to keep that business date

With each step I took my respect like nourished creepers grew
The esteem for your parent, the unpretentious aid for needy crew
You felt miserable for forcing Grand-dad to eat when age had stole his screw
Always unassuming and modest, you are the only champion I knew

It’s hard to imitate the sun yet I’m determined to follow the path you’ve laid
Pages of time flip on, the book of adore remains ageless
In all men I seek your image for anything else is always less
Your patience, grit and kindness; sheen to your manliness

A MAN STANDS TALLEST WHEN HE KNEELS

DOWN TO HELP A CHILD
